Domaine du Cheyssignaguet could have been better...then we realized it couldn't have. The best part would have to be the friendship we made with Pierre, Martine and Pascale, the owners of the estate. They were very friendly and helpful with every detail. They went out of their way to make our stay exceptional and it helped so much that they could speak English.
The houses themselves were exceptional...most built in the mid-1700's with beautiful stone roofs that are a specialty of the area. The country side is so green and peaceful. We stayed for a week and they helped us explore the areas points of interest. Our group of eleven also enjoyed the wonderful home cooking...regional recipes from the area. This was one of the most beautiful places in the French countryside we have ever seen...bested only by the owners themselves. Marci all.

I traveled with a group of 13 wine aficionados to stay with Pierre and Martine at Domaine du Cheyssignaguet. Not only did they host us in their wonderful guest houses, but they provided a fully escorted wine tour for a week through the Bordeaux and Dordogne regions in France. We stayed every night at the Domaine, and took day trips to various vineyards, towns, cultural and historic sites. We ate in fabulous restaurants, enjoyed home-cooked dinners every night, drank fabulous wine. The Chantaigners treated us as if we were part of their family.

Their accommodations are truly 5-star. Our tour was an extraordinary value, all inclusive of accommodation, meals, transportation, wine, guided tours, admissions - we paid nothing extra. I do not believe there is a better tour value to be found. If you have a chance to join them on one of their tours, do it! You will not be disappointed.
