I second Kay's message above as my husband and I were fellow travelers on the 2 week journey. Impossible to praise enough the kind consideration given to each guest by our host and hostesses. With a passion for the history and architecture of the area that was contagious to the pleasure of being taken to off the beaten track restaurants and a Sarlat at night tour, our hosts had our enjoyment as their priority. To go to the Dordogne and "leave the driving to them" is a luxury . Go, you will love it.

Amazing trip..to see this beautiful area with this family hosting you is the best possible way. You are driven to the charming villages, you are informed of the history, and enjoy the enthusiasm your hosts have for the area. Pierre and Martine lead us thru Sarlat ,illuminated, and he confessed he has been in Sarlat over a hundred visits because of the architectural delights it holds. This family, including their daughter, Pascal, treats you as family and cannot do enough to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. Don't miss the Dordogne without them.

What an ideal introduction to a beautiful region of France that was new to us! Our little group was comfortably set up in a remodeled, well-appointed historical manor house. Our hosts, father and daughter Pierre and Pascal, were personable, informed and enthusiastic, and arranged everything to perfection for us. They chauffered us to the most interesting villages, towns, castles, gardens and caves of the area, and to a variety of delightful restaurants, from gastronomic to farm to local comfort food, and the meals we had home-cooked at the manor house by chef Sophie were some of our favorites. Pierre treated us generously to wines from his personal collection. Our companions were very congenial, and our meals together leisurely and familial. It was such an intimate, stress-free and enriching experience we consider it one of our best vacations ever. Highly recommended! Many thanks to our hosts.
